The wind turbines of Montjoyer-Rochefort in the Drôme region
On the outskirts of Montélimar, the 23 wind turbines of this wind farm are aligned on the hills of Montjoyer and Rochefort-en-Valdaine, on either side of the Col du Colombier pass. Built in 2004, these 98-meter-high turbines had their rotors replaced in 2014, extending their lifespan. This 17 MW wind farm benefits from the favorable Mistral winds, generating 41 GWh per year, enough to power approximately 16,100 homes.
